When to Plant Your Spring Flowers

We all love beautiful gardens and homes that look like paradise on the outside. As much as you love to see them, it doesn’t mean that you may know how to create this beautiful type of paradise around your home. There are several different kinds of flowers that you will be able to choose from and place in your beautiful landscaping.

Depending on the flowers that you’re choosing will determine when you should plant them. Some flowers need to be planted in the fall and come popping up in the spring. While other flowers can be planted in the spring and take root from there. Flowers such as roses, chrysanthemum, aster can be planted in April. Marigolds, hydrangeas, sunflowers, poinsettias, carnations and dahlias can be planted in May. There are a couple of other types of flowers that can be planted a little later in the year. This all sounds nice and dandy, but it doesn’t make your home look like a paradise.

Take the time to plan out where you want which flowers in your yard. Look at the design you want in the front of your home. Many homeowners feel they must bunch all the same type of flowers together instead of spreading them out throughout the landscaping. Those paradise landscapes don’t just create themselves. It takes a lot of forethought and planning to create something spectacular. Draw it out on a piece of paper, where it is you want each plant to go. That way when the day comes for you to plant them you have a plan of action and it will hopefully flow effortlessly.
